Danielsson Original Flyreels are not likely to need any introduction. The Danielsson Original set a new standard for fly reels when it was released in 1983 and it began the large arbor revolution. As a result, the Original - which other manufacturers rushed to imitate for it's superior concept - is now the most copied reel in the world.
This simple and by now classic design offers easy, trouble-free handling. The light weight, large diameter spool counters the risk of spool overrun and at the same time makes for fast line retrieval. Risk of losing a fish is minimised, which makes possible the use of very light tippets on shy fish.
