Stripped peacock eye quills have a dark edge that when wrapped onto a hook shank gives a most attractive banded appearance. These quills are of the highest quality and require no pretreatment before use. There are 25 quills in each pack. They make excellent bodies for buzzers, nymphs and dry flies. The range of 11 different colours gives a range of alternatives to match most naturals.
The quill comes from peacock eyes and is hand stripped, which eliminates the problems of cracking if bleached or chemically stripped.

Color

Tying tips: build up a body of light coloured thread to give the desired shape and coat the body with varnish before winding the quill to give additional strength to the body. Also varnish the body after tying for the same reason. The banding is most effectively shown if the dark edge of the quill is on the side away from the hook eye.
