Dear Mr. Siman,

This to let you know that flies tied with your materials also work here in Denmark. This beautifull grayling, 40 cm long, was taken at 12 midday yesterday:

The heavy nymph was tied mostly from your materials:

The grayling was released after photo.

Kind regards Steen Ellemose, Denmark, 26th July 2006
Sid Boulter from Scottland and his big grayling on Czech Nymph

Hi Jan,

Thought you might like to see some photos of Scottish grayling caught on the flies you've sent. There are 2 photos of each fish. Both fish were around 49 cms in length the first a male weighing 3lb2oz caught at the end of February this year on a small pink bobesh & the second a female of 3lb 6oz caught February 9th on a beige bobesh. All our fish are returned alive, the other pics are the best of the ones i have tried to take of them swimming away !
Will be in touch soon for more flies etc. All the best, Sid

Barb Pentoney from California and her the best catch on the Czech nymph

I caught that nice brown (approx 20 inches) on the Owens River near Bishop, California. It was a nice but cold day in early March in the valley with the Sierra Mountains in the distance.

I haven't been Czech nymphing very long (a couple of seasons) and that was definitely my biggest catch so far. I caught him using a bright green/brown czech fly about size 10-my anchor fly. And then released him to fight another day. My friend was very skeptical of fishing such a big fly and the technique. But of course I caught some of the biggest fish that trip so he now has changed his mind...hahaha
Harri from Finland

...better late than never...This one was caught with dark olive gold head. 54 cm wild brown trout...
Dave Smith, United Kingdom and his best Czech nymph catch.

Hi All, I fished the River Tanat in the beautiful Berwyn Mountains in Wales last sunday. The river was high and flowing swiftly but I found a nice quiet bend with some streamer weed beds - surely hiding a good fish....

A lovely 18" (45cm) fish with a thick deep body about 2 and a quarter/half pounds in weight. Taken using czech nymph method and one of the gold head nymphs recently bought from Jans shop.
Pictures sent until 20th December 2005.

Jérôme Vyret from France sent his best sea trout catch on the Czech nymph.

This one is a 61 cm sea trout caught in Normandy in August 2005 on the heaviest and biggest nymph of my fly box, that day I was looking for brownies and wasn't expecting such a fish. I spend almost one hour trying dozen of different ligther patterns before it decided to swallow that big nymph (hook size 10). This fish as been released after the photo.
A few weeks before I've lost a bigger sea trout on a nymph (around 70 cm) and this one is the first and lonely sea trout I've ever caught.
Nicolaas Van Rijn from the Netherlands and his best catches

I have caught some nice fish with czech nymphing in Austria in June 2005 year. On the river Salzach I caught 2 big graylings

After 5 min the second grayling

And a nice brown trout did like the nymfs too

I fished with the gold jighead hooks, they work great and almost never got hooked on the bottom.
Andrew Cartwright, from the United Kingdom, sent following his best catches:

This and next 2nd fish were both caught on the river Severn, Wales, both on a pink bug and nearly one after each other, in the same run. The fish on the grass meassured 49 cms and the one in the water was 48cms.

This grayling picture was caught 2 winters ago and is to date my best ever grayling, this one meassured 51cms, 3 1/2 lbs, not sure if this one would count as it was caught on a size 20 Griffiths Gnat dry fly, on a very cold November day, this fish also came from the river Severn. The grayling society reada scale for Andrew they said it was 7 yrs old.

Jimmy Holmström, Sweden. One really good Arctic Char 56 cm/2 kg in training session of the 4th European Championship, river Ransaran at Saxnäs (North Sweden), caught on the 1st July 2004. The fly is gold-bead, rusty orange body and silver tinsel, one simple fly but effective in hi water.

Our friend Ivan Alman from Slovakia caught this big grayling (52 cm) on heavy nymph using Czech nymphing method.
River: Vah near Liptovsky Mikulas (stretch of WFFC 2004), date: 19th September 2005
